MY DESIGNER
I want to tell you what I'm made of
A body built and filled with love
The designer of this flesh and soul
Took care to put all that was needed into this mold
Some parts were made weak, some strong
And only He can strengthen what is wrong
Only He can maintain with His mighty hand
Only He can command us to sit or stand
Now tell me what about me you don’t like
Or do you give me these faults just for spite
I was designed by the top designer
No one can design anything finer
I was not always this beautiful spring
I once was an ugly and uncomely being
I did not always flow with love
Or soar through life like a dove
I am still not the ultimate being
All knowing, all mighty and all seeing
I still have shortcomings and pains
But my designer can fix these strains
Won’t you stop tearing me apart
And allow God to redesign your heart
You are miserable, hard-hearted and mean
You are unruly, uncomely and unclean
Wont you come get the best issued by God our King
Wont you find out what Life can really mean
My designer is also the designer of Life
He designs for love not hatred or strife
My designer designed the whole world
The designs in the skies He placed and He hurled
And they at His command are in their place
Shinning down their light on the Earth’s face
And we should be like those above
Shinning on the Earth with our love
Please stop trying to shade my space
Stop trying to hinder me from winning my race
Instead come stand beside me to brighten the light
Come run beside me with all of your might
I want to show you what I'm made of
Designed by God’s hand in wisdom and love

Brother Window, Sister Door
Dedicated to my cousin Pastor Johnathan Robinson
who recently moved into a building which he has converted into a church.
His ministry is called COME - Clairton Outreach Ministry & Evangelism.
God has blessed him to minister to all types of people - tattered, broken and in
need of repair.
Brother Window, Sister Door
There was a repair job I was assigned to do
I thought, Whoa, this is not work I know.
I'll need tools, and a contractor or two.
But the Boss just turned and walked off slow
I scratched my head and held my jaw
And thought well, He must have faith in me.
I picked up hammer, nails and saw
Not knowing what the end result would be
In this place were many windows
Some missing,broken, some just shattered
A few may have been stained glass -who knows
Covered by drapes filthy, torn and tattered
I noticed several types of doors
A few were unhinged against the wall
Some on one hinge, cracked, needing restored
I wondered if I could handle this all
On a table was a Bible just lying there
If I sit and read how will it all get done?
On a piece of paper read "Handle with Care
Open the manual, follow the instructions".
