MY DESIGNER
I want to tell you what I'm made of
A body built and filled with love
The designer of this flesh and soul
Took care to put all that was needed into this mold
Some parts were made weak, some strong
And only He can strengthen what is wrong
Only He can maintain with His mighty hand
Only He can command us to sit or stand
Now tell me what about me you don’t like
Or do you give me these faults just for spite
I was designed by the top designer
No one can design anything finer
I was not always this beautiful spring
I once was an ugly and uncomely being
I did not always flow with love
Or soar through life like a dove
I am still not the ultimate being
All knowing, all mighty and all seeing
I still have shortcomings and pains
But my designer can fix these strains
Won’t you stop tearing me apart
And allow God to redesign your heart
You are miserable, hard-hearted and mean
You are unruly, uncomely and unclean
Wont you come get the best issued by God our King
Wont you find out what Life can really mean
My designer is also the designer of Life
He designs for love not hatred or strife
My designer designed the whole world
The designs in the skies He placed and He hurled
And they at His command are in their place
Shinning down their light on the Earth’s face
And we should be like those above
Shinning on the Earth with our love
Please stop trying to shade my space
Stop trying to hinder me from winning my race
Instead come stand beside me to brighten the light
Come run beside me with all of your might
I want to show you what I'm made of
Designed by God’s hand in wisdom and love

Annette,
Your poems are a blessing. I shared your blog site with my small group from church. I am sure they will also be blessed reading them.
Thanks,
Maria

JUST ANNOUNCED . . .
R ANNETTE HARRIS HAS BEEN SELECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN ONE OF THE MOST EXCLUSIVE ANTHOLOGIES,
THE INTERNATIONAL WHO'S WHO IN POETRY.
Over the past several months, we have been reviewing the thousands of poems submitted to us, as well as examining the poetic accomplishments of people whose poetry has appeared on the Internet and in various editions released by other poetry publishers in America and Europe. After an exhaustive examination of this poetic artistry, The International Library of Poetry is pleased to inform you that you have been nominated for inclusion in . . .
Congratulations on your accomplishment, R Annette. This is an extraordinary honor. The International Who's Who in Poetry will be among the finest quality and most interesting books we have ever produced, and poets from several nations around the world will be featured. Each poem published will be exhibited on a page by itself. Every aspect and design of this anthology will display an uncompromising level of craftsmanship and attention to detail As the name of this special edition implies, we are very interested in learning about you as a poet. In addition to featuring your poetic talent, we would also like to include your biographical information on the page adjacent to your poem. Thus, you could have two full pages dedicated especially to you and your artistic work. R Annette, this is the perfect opportunity to give the public some insight about you and your artistry for this poetic showcase . . . perhaps the meaning behind your poetry or your own philosophical perspective. Many readers have told us that one of the most interesting and enjoyable parts of the anthology is learning about the artists and their stories behind their poetry.
We are conducting a special contest only for participants in this project, the winner of this very special contest will then have the honor of representing The International Library of Poetry and will be interviewed by Professor Grace Cavalieri as the featured guest on her national radio show, The Poet and The Poem. Additional runner-up winners will be selected to appear live on the broadcast via a telephone interview. Just think . . . you could be recognized as a leading poet to perhaps millions of people around the nation.
Before going any further, R Annette, let me make one thing clear . . . you were selected for inclusion in this project based on your unique talent and previous poetic accomplishments. We believe you are one of the most interesting poets we have encountered, so we are offering you the chance to be published in this special edition. Of course, many people do wish to acquire the books that have pages dedicated to themselves and their poetic artistry.
In order for our editors to meet our scheduled publication date and pick the winning poets and poems, WE MUST RECEIVE YOUR POEM RIGHT AWAY. Be sure you include your name, mailing address, and your poem. Your poem may be 24 lines or less, on any subject, and in any style.
Congratulations on your selection for your inclusion as a distinguished member of The International Who's Who in Poetry and a participant in this unique poetry project. We look forward to seeing more of your work.
Sincerely,
Howard Ely
Managing Editor
P.S. RAnnette, you should be genuinely proud of your accomplishment. You have been nominated to participate in The International Who's Who in Poetry because of your poetic accomplishments. We are pleased that an entire page of this historic edition will be dedicated exclusively to you and your poetry.

Annette, the plates look lovely and very professional.
I think you need to have a different back-drop and you need to try to get a 3D effect to keep the plates from looking like they are laying down.
Take a closer picture of your poems so you can see the emotional value of the plates as well as the beauty.

I love your plates and I think that you should look at your talent as an opportunity and run with it! Also and maybe more importantly, you could possibly write a poem that could potentially change someone's life. Please take this into consideration. Its very important in these days and times that we are encouraging each other consistantly. You have what it takes to touch everyone around you in a positive way and that is what gives you the right to put your words out there! You deserve it! I always strive to be more like you in the way that you are soooo kind. You never really have anything mean to say regardless of the circumstances. What a hard thing to do. Keep-up-the-good-work! When I sit down and think about what a wonderful person you are and what you mean to me it overjoys me to know that I was blessed to have ever known you. Well enough about you. The plates are fly. So run with this idea. Love,
TM

This is so true! When we visited my folks at their townhouse (before Dad died and Mom sold the place), Jim would always comment how the first place I (and the rest of my siblings) went upon entering the house was the kitchen--to raid the fridge or the cupboards for whatever homemade food we could find.

Oh yes! This all sounds so familiar and brings warm memories to mind. Now I'm a mom's kitchen and my daughter tells me how good it is to come home and have coffee and talk in the kitchen. The smallest room in the house holds all the warmest hearts.
